Built by two brothers who arrived in Australia with little more than a skill, a dream, and the determination to create something that lasts.

In 2017, my brother and I arrived in Australia as international students with little money and no roadmap. I started delivering for Uber Eats while carrying the phone repair skills I had learned from my father. What began as a simple offer to repair phones at customers' homes soon became the foundation of 30 Minutes Fix.

The journey began with a scooter and a simple repair.

A simple Gumtree ad—“I'll come to your home and repair your phone”—became the first step toward building something of our own.

We invested everything we had to open our first store.

After countless evening repairs and weekends on the road, my brother and I finally opened our first 30 Minutes Fix store in Pakenham. Unexpected challenges arrived immediately, including a major builder's invoice that forced us to borrow from friends and family. We kept working, kept delivering, and kept believing in the dream we had started together.

Today, we're building opportunities that last.

The road hasn't been perfect. We've experienced growth, setbacks, and expensive lessons that changed the way we built our business. By focusing on strong systems, great people, and consistent execution, 30 Minutes Fix has grown to five locations across Victoria. More than a repair company, it has become a place where people can grow, lead, and create a future for themselves.

We Wanted To Open Our Own Store

A side hustle became a dream
we couldn't ignore.

What began as evening and weekend repairs soon turned into something much bigger. My brother and I spent countless hours travelling across Melbourne, fixing phones, saving every dollar we could, and working toward a single goal: opening our own store.

When the opportunity finally came, we launched the first 30 Minutes Fix store in Pakenham. We invested everything we had, and just before opening, an unexpected $20,000 builder's invoice threatened to derail the project. We borrowed money from friends and family and kept moving forward because too many people had believed in us to give up.

During the day we worked in the store, and whenever we had spare time, we went back to delivering for Uber Eats so we could repay the people who supported us. That first store wasn't just a business—it was proof that persistence, sacrifice, and hard work could build something real.

As the business grew, we celebrated wins, made expensive mistakes, and learned lessons that changed the way we built our company. Those experiences pushed us to create stronger systems, empower great people, and build a business that could grow beyond us.

The hardest lessons became the foundation
for everything that followed.

As we expanded, not every decision worked out the way we hoped. One of our biggest challenges came when we opened a repair centre in Melbourne CBD. We invested heavily, travelled to China to learn advanced repair techniques, and believed it would become the next stage of growth.

Instead, we learned a difficult lesson: a business cannot depend entirely on its founders being there every day. The experience cost us nearly $400,000, but it changed the way we thought about building a company.

From that point forward, we focused on creating strong systems, empowering great people, and building stores that could succeed beyond our own hands. That mindset helped us turn around struggling locations, continue expanding across Victoria, and create opportunities for the people who grew alongside us.

Today, 30 Minutes Fix operates five locations across Victoria. What makes us proud isn't just the number of stores. It's the journey behind them—the risks we took, the lessons we learned, and the people who believed in us along the way.
